Job description
Autocars Faure, a subsidiary of the Groupe Faure Transport specializing in passenger transport, is hiring a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Mechanic (M/F) for its depot located in La Tour-du-Pin (38).
Are you a mechanic looking to apply your skills to a coach fleet? Reporting to the workshop manager, you will ensure the servicing, maintenance, and repair of the vehicles at the depot.
Your duties
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on coaches.
- Inspect vehicle condition and identify potential malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults and determine the work required for repairs.
- Work on various mechanical components: engine, gearbox, clutch, suspension, etc.
- Carry out maintenance, adjustment, and repair operations.
- Provide support when needed for minor mechanical tasks: oil changes, tires, greasing, etc.
- Test various mechanical components following interventions.
- Ensure the safety and proper operation of vehicles.
Candidate profile
You have at least 1 year of experience in mechanics and hold a CAP/BEP vocational qualification or equivalent in vehicle mechanics.
You have:
- sound knowledge of HGV and light vehicle mechanics;
- proficiency in maintenance procedures and repair techniques;
- the ability to diagnose faults and determine appropriate technical solutions.
A Category D license is not required at the time of hiring: training may be covered by the company.
The FIMO Voyageurs qualification can also be funded by the company.
Compensation and benefits
- Permanent, full-time contract (CDI) – 35 hours/week;
- compensation of €2,300 gross/month;
- with 17.33 hours of overtime, remuneration can reach €2,628.49 gross/month;
- salary increase upon obtaining the Category D license;
